Like most families we know, mine loves dessert. Because my daughter has a severe nut allergy, we are especially excited about really delicious (and safe) nut-free desserts. Whether you or someone in your family has an allergy, you want to drop off baked goods to your child’s school, you want to bring dessert to a party, or serve sweet treats to a group of friends (or your kids’ friends) at home, these are all delicious and safe so everyone can enjoy!
Sweets From the Earth makes delicious, vegan, kosher, allergen-free, and preservative free baked goods. They bake in their own, dedicated nut free facility (they also have a dedicated gluten-free facility), so you can trust their nut-free baked goods to be school-safe too. They also make custom cakes which are perfect for birthday parties, and even weddings too!
New Moon Kitchen Lovingly hand made in Toronto for over a decade, the cookies from New Moon Kitchen taste and feel like you baked them yourself right in your very own kitchen! They have over eight different flavours (all vegan, nut-free, and made with organic spelt flour) so you’ll be sure to please any cookie lover.
Screamin Brothers Made with coconut milk and free from common allergens like nuts and soy, this ice cream was created by actual brothers, who started selling their frozen treats to raise money for the people of Haiti after an earthquake hit in 2010. Today, they still donate 5% to support youth-supporting initiatives. Plus, it tastes great and is made from premium ingredients like organic coconut milk and honey. My favourite is the chocolate mint, after letting it melt at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
free2b Sun Cups These decadent chocolate sunbutter cups are free from the top 12 allergens! Although not certified organic, they meet so many allergy claims, are Non-GMO Project Verified, and the cacao is Rainforest-Alliance Certified!
Lisa Borden’s Banana Muffins My banana muffin recipe is made with just a few simple whole food ingredients that I usually have stocked in my kitchen, ready to mix and bake. They’re one of the few things I actually bake myself because it’s so easy, and they always turns out great. This recipe is nut-free, gluten-free, soy-free, refined sugar free, and kid approved. We think they’re amazing served warm, and best enjoyed same day!
